Learn French/Spanish Through Music

Our mission is to build bridges between cultures through music from around the world. As our children travel musically towards new horizons, words from foreign countries become familiar friends. Beyond our differences, we all have the same heart beating to the same rhythm and everyone smiles in the same language.

Our Values

  • Curiosity
  • Openness to others and understanding
  • Joy in learning

Learn French and Spanish Through Music

At early childhood, pre-school and elementary levels, language teaching through music is a tried and true technique. In a 2007 report, “Singing in a Foreign Language,” the French Ministry of Education stressed that music better teaches the rhythm of the target language and its structure. The repeated melody, often stubbornly stuck in one’s head and coupled with a playful activity, solidifies memorization.

Our multi-sensory technique is based on the use of songs, simple musical instruments and marionettes. Her teaching method is efficient, playful and dynamic. Children acquire vocabulary, sentence structures and idiomatic phrases in the joyous act of singing. This repetition of all elements achieved through music, in song, is an excellent way to improve comprehension and verbal practice. She developed it initially to teach French, Spanish and English to children between 6 months and eight years of age.
