Music For Little Ones Classes

For Fall 2021, we are pleased to ensure the safety of our families and teachers by offering in-person, socially-distanced, and live-streamed classes. Our outdoor, socially-distanced Family Time in the Park (weather permitting) is an outstanding opportunity for newborns-age 6 to enjoy the collaborative benefits of music safely, while our age-specific live-streamed classes allow families to join from the comfort of home. In-person classes have limited space to ensure proper distancing, and safety is our top priority. Personalized classes for your pod are also available.

To maintain the safety of our families and teachers, these policies will be in effect for in-person classes:

- Families will provide their own blanket or towel to sit on, spaced at least 6 feet from others.
- LMA will provide each family with a personal instrument kit, which the family will bring to use during each class.
- Any shared instruments will be used by one family per class and then sanitized immediately after class.
- Masks are required for anyone over age 5 and requested for all.
- Wind instruments will not be used at this time.
- Singing will be minimized at this time.
- If the student or a family-member is sick, the family will be asked to schedule a makeup virtual class rather than attending class.
- Prior registration and agreement to follow these policies is required.

This is a one semester small group class designed to introduce your child to the joy of playing a musical instrument through fun games and exploration.

The semester long class will explore basic concepts of piano, drums, violin, and recorder to allow children to experience a variety of instruments. Each child will also learn about the staff, learn to read music, and play fun short songs.

As the semester progresses the teacher will determine the best match for private lessons for your child's learning style, instrument interest, and ultimate creativity. Private lesson teachers will visit the class to ensure a great fit and match for on going lessons.

Each semester will conclude with a recital party and placement with the perfect teacher and instrument.

We will group 4 - 6 children of like age and ability.

Each class is 45 minutes with caregivers joining for a 10 minute sharing time at the end to get homework and see what the class learned each week.
